Today's Topic: drivingg

Today I drove a car. By myself. In a parking lot, with my dad next to me. It was pretty awesome, but it was a lot harder then driving a boat. More to run into. Anyway, we found an empty parking lot, and did what I call the "Chinese Fire Drill". We got out of the car and switched sides, and somehow I wound up in front of the steering wheel. Turns out, those games that you pay 50 cents for, where you get to drive a fake car for about 40 seconds, is a lot easier. You don't have to worry about the clutch, and why would you EVER use the break in one of those games? My main goal is to go as fast as the car will allow me, in real life, not so much. Hopefully I will improve, but my dad will probably have a say in this post...

  1. OMG am I glad you didn't pull the video game thing on me! That would have been one wild ride! Unfortunately there are some crazies out there who really do drive that way and coincidentally most of them are teenagers - go figure!

So their are 3 keys to remember:
    - Don't BE one of them
    - Don't get in a car with one of them
    - Watch out for them when you are driving

That's my speech. The rest of the stuff (clutches, brakes, turn signals, mirrors, lights, etc) will be EASY in comparison! You will do fine, I had sooo much fun giving you your first lesson, many more to come. Next time maybe we'll use the turn signals!

    Love, Dad
